National Skill Training Institute for Women, Indore is imparting Vocational Training with skill as required by the Local Industry and also providing need based training to trainees to become Entrepreneurs. National Skill Training Institute comes under Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Women’s Training cell under Directorate General of Training. This exclusive institute for women facilitates regular long term training courses and short term training programme in various disciplines. Long term courses are conducted in levels, such as, Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS), Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) and recently started Advanced Diploma in IT, Networking and Cloud course. IT, Networking and Cloud course is very much essential in the current scenario due to a lot of demand in software industries where every industry is using cloud as base.
The Institute is established in 1992 by Women Vocational Training Cell of Directorate General of Employment & Training under Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, to provide wide range of equitable opportunities on Vocational Training for women, so as to bring them into the main stream of the national economic activities. On its inception in the year 1992, this Institute started functioning at ITI, Indore Campus and from 5th October 2013 onwards this Institute is functioning at New Building, which is constructed in the 5 Acre land given by ESIC, Indore on 30 years on lease Agreement on the ESIC, Indore land premises. At present the Institute is working under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
